A Beautiful Blue Marble

NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center released two new "Blue Marble" shots of the Earth, composites of high resolution shots taken by the Suomi NPP climate-monitoring satellite during six orbits on Jan. 23.

I like the Eastern Hemisphere shot the best, since its focal point is the spot from which humans evolved and emerged.

And the fact is, we've got one beautiful planet here, people. Let's keep it that way.
