Continuing my exploration of what makes George Harrison such a remarkable artist, we come the song "Don't Let Me Wait Too Long" from the album Living in the Material World.
The song moves along with bright strumming guitar throughout. He sings, even pleads:
I love you, baby, so don't let me wait too long.
I miss you, baby, so don't let me wait too long.
There are hints of harmony dropped in just occasionally, until finally, in the last run through the chorus, it comes on strong.
This song just makes me smile.
